The Feldenkrais Method® helps dancers hone skills and prevent injury. By slowing down, attending to sensation and being curious about how you are moving, this method helps dancers discover better options. Minimizing one’s effort a dancer learns where their unconscious habits of over exertion interfere with their intention to create a specific form or action. When a dancer senses their skeletal structure more clearly the use of their body becomes more efficient. As you learn to rely on the support of your architecture the muscles are free to move you however the choreography demands. Rather than seeing your effort, the audience experiences your art.
