Invigorating Life Through Dance.
"…the chief pleasures for me came from dancing by The Big Muddy Dance Company.”
~Scott Cantrell, The Dallas Morning News
The Big Muddy Dance Company is a St. Louis-based repertory dance company which seeks to build a love of dance by providing fun, experiential, and highly entertaining performances. By engaging both emerging and established choreographers, collaborating across the community through senior outreach, and training future performers through our school and trainee program, we constantly strive to invigorate life through dance.
“The Big Muddy Dance Company has become one of the most exciting ensembles in town.”
~Calvin Wilson, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch
At The Big Muddy Dance Company, we take pride in invigorating the lives of everyone in the community through dance. Through activities such as our Senior Embrace program, open classes, and our Summer Intensive, we have expanded our reach to those that may not be able to attend a performance in a local theater. Our constant drive is to get St. Louis dancing with us, while investing in the future of dance.
“Sumptuous ballet performances by the Big Muddy Dance Company complement the excellent work of the OTSL cast…”
~Mark Bretz, Ladue News

Our organization aims to provide accessible and high-quality adult dance classes for ages 13 and up. Drop-in class styles vary between ballet, contemporary, jazz, and Pilates. For the more advanced dancer, the company also offers a Trainee Program for those high level dancers who are ready to take their dancing to the next level, or experience a pre-professional atmosphere.
